C.A.P.D.M.I. Tip to Take Advantage of Down-Time: Anger During The Pandemic

Updated: Jun 18, 2021

Being cooped up in the home with your family may be taking it's toll on many people who are not used to being home as often. Tensions rise, and patience is tested. Scheduling time out during the day for individual time-outs is most helpful when you can't get away.

For instance:

- Send the kids to quiet areas of the home for individual moments of time alone to read, catch up on homework or to work on individual projects (painting, drawing, puzzles, etc.). Set a timer (1-hour). While they are settled in their spaces, parents should take that time to do some self-care as well.

This will minimize tension and thus minimize anger in the household.

For more self-care, consider scheduling a one-on-one session with our C.A.P.D.M.I. life coach! You can speak openly in a safe and confidential space right in the comfort of your own home.
